Hi-de-hi Kieran lands 'best job in Wales'
PEMBREY Country Park has a camping concierge for the summer holiday period in Kieran Mayo from Hereford.

Kieran said: “I was doing back flips when I got the call to say I had been successful. I have the best office imaginable. Campfire cooking and sand in my sandals outdoor living is where I hang my hat.”
Discover Carmarthenshire is on the hunt for a ‘Camping Concierge’ this summer, to act as the go-to camping expert for the county throughout August 2014.
You will be stationed for four weeks at Pembrey Country Park Campsite, living on-site to assist visitors with your camping expertise. With stunning views over the longest stretch of beach in Wales, this is the perfect summer job for lovers of the great outdoors looking for a little adventure...
What Do I Have to Do as a Camping Concierge?
This hands-on role will require you to truly put your camping prowess to the test- you’ll need to be able to assist fellow campers with their camping queries, from tent erection and pitch puzzlements, and be on hands with tip-top advice on all things camping.
You’ll be experienced in pitching in all types of weather the glorious Carmarthenshire countryside may throw your way, tent maintenance and camp cooking; and will also have good writing skills to tell the world about your time as Wales’ first camping concierge, with social media know-how to boot. In return- you’ll get to live next to one of the most beautiful beaches in Wales for the sublime Welsh summer, surrounded by stunning countryside and jolly holiday campers!

- Get involved in all aspects of work at the campsite – from helping guests to pitch and erect their tents to check ins, working in the shop, providing extra supplies/information to guests.
- Manage ‘virtual’ county-wide camping queries through social media channels.
- Showcase Carmarthenshire and report on your adventures through photo blogs, social media channels and media interviews. We’d also want you to explore the many attractions that Carmarthenshire has to offer and report on your findings, tempting all who read to visit this beautiful slice of south-west Wales.
